Craft & Process

Where function meets sculpture, and every piece tells a story.

Handcrafted Ceramic Lamps (1).png
Crafted by hand. Defined by variation. Designed to last.

Each piece begins as an idea — a balance between form, texture, and function. My work is rooted in traditional ceramic techniques, but guided by experimentation and intuition. No two pieces are ever exactly alike. Every lamp, vase, or object carries subtle variations that reflect the handmade process behind it.

The Process

1. Concept & FormEvery design starts with a rough concept — sometimes a sketch, sometimes just a shape in mind. The goal is always to create something that feels both sculptural and usable.

2. Hand BuildingEach piece is formed by hand, allowing for organic shapes and natural imperfections that machines cannot replicate.

3. Surface & TextureTextures, carvings, and surface treatments are applied to bring depth and character. This stage is where each piece begins to develop its identity.

.4. Glazing & ColorGlazes are layered and tested to achieve unique finishes — from subtle neutrals to expressive, multicolored surfaces.

5. FiringPieces are fired in a kiln at high temperatures, transforming raw clay into durable ceramic. The firing process often introduces unexpected variations, which are embraced as part of the final work.

Philosophy

I approach each piece as both an object and a sculpture. Function is important — but so is presence.

These works are meant to live in spaces, to interact with light, and to evolve with their surroundings.
