A rectangle-plan hollow brick, cut with a single slit opening, inspired by the slit gongs in the Rockefeller wing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Yellowbird glaze pulls thin at the edges, exposing the clay underneath, so the form reads as a line drawing as much as a solid object — an idea that later led to the three Yellow Brick pieces.
Slip-cast, then cut and assembled by hand. Shown in Yellowbird glaze on a tan clay body. An E26 socket sits on top for the shade light.
This piece is currently a one-of-a-kind prototype, but could be made as a short production run.

Dimensions: 10.625"H x 4.5"W x 2.75"D. E26 socket adds between 3-5 inches to height, depending on what sleeve is used.
