A rectangle-plan hollow brick marked with the Mishima technique — black slip inlaid into unglazed white clay, scored into very thin lines. Where the Maggiore pieces use this technique to draw something architectural and legible, here the marks read more like an etching: abstract, with no implied scale or representation. The piece takes its name from Theo van Doesburg, whose geometric abstraction sits behind the pattern.
Slip-cast, then cut, scored, and inlaid by hand. An E26 socket on top holds the shade light; a G9 socket sits inside the base.
This piece is one of a kind, but could be made in a small batch, where each would be a little different.
