G-Vase
A vessel with a folded, faceted form — generated first as a 3D model, then selected and modified by hand before casting. What came out of that process got reworked until it held up as an object on its own.
Slip-cast, then finished by hand. Shown here in a tan clay body, in four glazes: striped weathered blue, solid weathered blue, yellowbird, and natural — each reads differently against the clay and across the vase's folds and flat planes. Also available in white or speckled clay, and in any glaze currently in the studio.
This piece is part of a small batch. The form is open to commission, individually or as a small production run.
