The next step after the Blue Ribbons Lamp. Both pieces work from the same idea — cuts that follow a strict array of lines, with the resulting ribbons as the focus — but here the array itself runs on the diagonal rather than horizontally. It's one of two grid strategies in this family, alongside the horizontal array, that still have a lot of room left to explore.
Slip-cast, then cut and assembled by hand. Finished in Oregano glaze on a Speckled clay body. An E26 socket on top holds the shade light; a G9 socket sits inside the base.
This piece is one of a kind. A larger number could be made, but each would need to be unique — a limited series, not a repeatable edition.
