A rectangle-plan hollow form, surfaced with a branching, vine-like line painted in iron oxide and fired into the clay. The lines taper and spread as they near the top, opening into round mouths that hold the stems — an organic, whiplash-curve quality borrowed from Art Nouveau line work. The areas inside the lines are filled with glaze; the ground around them is left bare.
Slip-cast, then cut and hand-painted. Shown in Oregano glaze with iron oxide line work on a white stoneware body.
