A table lamp built from a single rectangular form, sliced and rearranged. This is the piece that started the Ribbons family — every cut afterward, in every other piece in this group, traces back to the logic worked out here. The early cuts are determined by chance; each one after responds to the cuts and openings that already exist, until the form settles.
Slip-cast, then cut and assembled by hand. Finished in Moroccan Leather on a white stoneware clay body — a glaze that pulls warm and uneven across the cut surfaces. An E26 socket on top holds the shade light; a G9 socket sits inside the base.
This piece is designed for small production runs.
